Ann, a Londoner aged 22, arrived on board the Planter (2) in 1839 convicted of stealing cloth. Her many descendants still live around the Newcastle area with the surnames Ayliffe, Bennis, Bevan, Butt, Collins, Downie, George, Greber, Ireland, Jackson, Malcolm, Matthews, Montgomery, Odgers, Parker, Richmond, Southon, and Woolley, amongst others.
